Bjarne E. Borg

Bjarne co-founded Index International AB together with Fredrik Alama in 1998. An entrepreneur at heart Bjarne launched his first business venture already at the age of 14. He has founded several businesses and held positions such as consultant, manager, CEO and board member in the fields of sales, accounting, tax, real estate/construction, energy and a variety of vertically integrated businesses consolidating his experience and investments into the world Index. His strong analytical skills combined with a relentless attention to detail, has proven crucial to the development of the company.

Fredrik K. Alama

Fredrik co-founded Index International AB together with Bjarne Borg in 1998. Fredrik started his career with his first property acquisition at the age of 20 and has since worked as an entrepreneur across a wide range of industries. He has a wealth of experience within real estate and related industries with a highly developed sense of what makes the market tick and where the winds are blowing.

 

 

Bill Quinn

William (“Bill”) is a senior electric utility professional with over 40 years of experience in the power industry. Bill is the Founder, President & CEO of EcoGen Holdings, LLC and U.S. EcoGen, LLC (www.usecogen.com). EcoGen develops, finances, owns, and operates renewable energy assets, including biomass, solar and wind. Bill manages EcoGen, including the re-development of the Ajax Cogeneration Facility. Prior to founding U.S. EcoGen in 2009, Bill served as Vice President for PG&E Corporation’s (NYSE: “PCG” $34B Market Cap) PG&E National Energy Group (“NEG”), where he was responsible for 10,000+ MW of power generation and natural gas pipeline development and investments. While at NEG, Bill led the development and financing of $4.2B of power generation facilities, located throughout the United States Bill’s senior executive experience also includes positions as President of The Shaw Group Inc.’s Power Division (acquired by CBI for $3B), CEO of Argos Utilities Corporation, and President of Meridian Power Corporation. Mr. Quinn has authored numerous articles on various electric utility matters and has regularly presented papers at industry conferences. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of several corporate, industry and philanthropic organizations.

Mark Seely, Vice President, Operations / Chief Engineer - Ajax Cogen

Mark joined Index as Chief Operating Engineer in 2016, and was later appointed the Plant Managers role in 2017.  With over 30 years Industrial work experience, the last 20 years in the Operating Engineers trade, Mark is a First-Class Power Engineer.  Using the skills developed through this time, Mark has been involved in various forms of Leadership including plant operation, plant commissioning, maintenance coordination and Project Coordination.

 

Shannon Crumb, Director, Accounting & Finance - Ajax Cogen

Shannon has been with Index Energy since 2016 in the role of Accounting Manager and was later appointed the Director of Finance and Administration role in 2021.  Shannon offers over 25 years of experience in accounting, finance, and human resources.  Shannon oversees all areas of finance and administration including payroll, accounts payable and receivables, cash management, general ledger, banking and reconciliations, and employee human resources.  She provides strategic analyses for senior management to determine project and company profitability and prepares quarterly financial statements.

 

Nelson Vale, Fuel Supply Manager - Ajax Cogen

Nelson is a seasoned fuel supply and transportation manager with over 21 years of waste and biomass fuels experience in the GTA. Nelson joined the senior management team at Index Energy in February 2022. He manages the development, mobilization, start-up, and operations of the EcoGen Hub Site, which will receive, process, store, and transport 100% of the renewable biomass fuel to the Index Energy Ajax Cogeneration Facility. Prior to joining Index Energy, Nelson managed the Waste Connections MRF and Transfer Station in Vaughan, Ontario for 10 years. Nelson also held management positions at St. Joseph’s Highland Creek, Metro Waste Paper Recovery and Turtle Island Recycling in Toronto, ON.
